Dread Maw was formed in the mountains of Kentucky in late 2020 out of a desire to create dark, dissonant soundscapes. Drawing thematic inspiration from Greek mythology, fantasy novels, and everything in between, Shadowsister channels the rawness of black metal and the wildness of her improvisational spirit to evoke a feeling of creeping discomfort in the listener.

All profits from this tape will be donated at the request of the artist to Gendered Intelligence, (genderedintelligence.co.uk), a registered charity that exists to increase understandings of gender diversity and improve trans people's quality of life.
